Six Sigma Quality
We understand that quality is extremely important for mission-critical parts, and we have developed quality systems that have been approved by major corporate customers like SKF, CAT, Alfa-Laval, York International, Knorr Brake, United Defense, Timken and other OEMs that have partnered with us on Strategic Cell Migrations.
| One outstanding testament to the success of these systems is that our current PPM rating is less than 350 PPM (4.89 Sigma), meaning 999,650 parts per every million produced meet or exceed our customers’ requirements — this performance is twice the industry average. | |
| Our ISO 9001 certified quality system assures you of repeatability and a dependable supply of parts that meet or exceed your requirements. But no quality system runs itself; indeed, much of the system depends on those who administer and execute it. At Flinchbaugh, our dedication to quality is enhanced by employee ownership; 60% of Flinchbaugh is employee-owned. That means owners are implementing these quality systems, looking for ways to reduce waste and continually improve the way we perform and deliver for you. A tour of our facilities demonstrates this, and we invite you to come and talk with our owners on the floor and in the office about how they drive quality throughout our operations and the entire organization. | We employ Total Productive Manintenance (TPM) to improve and maintain your equipment at optimal levels. Teams of Flinchbaugh engineers bring each component of your cell to a “like-new” condition during the initial migration stage, so that machines once considered past their usable life span are refurbished and transformed into valuable, functioning assets, and TPM keeps them at or above this level. TPM is your assurance that your cell is operating at its best possible level and producing the parts you need on spec and on time.
Our quality department regularly prepares PPAP documentation, including Process Flow Plans, Process FMEAs, Dimensional Results, Material Test Results, SPC, Control Plans and Part Submission Warrants. |
